Anthem Tonight!

Its finally here! Anthem is tonight! Here is the focus for today. Worship is more than just singing, it is a lifestyle of praising God with everything you do. 

1 Corinthians 10:31 

 ³¹ So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 

Take today to try and do this. In everything you do do it unto the Lord. Lets prepare our minds and hearts for what God is going to do tonight.

Focus for Thursday

I hope you have been having a great couple days. It was awesome to focus on Psalm 100 today, I personally was impacted by that Psalm and it inspired me to worship unashamedly.  For today I encourage you to fast. Maybe it is just a fast from one meal or maybe it is the whole day. While fasting spend time in prayer, asking God to move in big ways this Friday both in your life and in the lives of all that come. If you are fasting the whole day, every time you feel hungry lift up a prayer to God thanking Him for His faithfulness. Thanks all. Get ready for Anthem, it is gonna be sweet!

Prayer Focus for Wednesday

Lets spend this day together praying and memorizing this psalm.

Psalm 100

A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

 ¹ Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 
 ² Worship the LORD with gladness; 
   come before him with joyful songs. 
³ Know that the LORD is God. 
   It is he who made us, and we are his^[a]; 
   we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

 ⁴ Enter his gates with thanksgiving 
   and his courts with praise; 
   give thanks to him and praise his name. 
⁵ For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; 
   his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Prayer Focus for Today and Tomorrow

Hey All,   The prayer focus for today through tomorrow is for those God has put on our hearts to invite to Anthem. If God has put a person on your heart to invite, pray that God would be softening there hearts to say yes to coming. Pray also that God would move in really big ways at Anthem. How cool would it be to see a revival break out!!!! If nobody comes to mind to ask please ask God to reveal that person to you.

Praise God for what He has done! He is risen! I hope you have/had a great Easter! God is preparing our hearts for what he is going to do at Anthem this year. Please spend this next week preparing with us. Keep looking back in because we will be posting some focuses for each day this week leading up to Anthem.

Anthem @ Cornerstone Church, April 29th

Anthem is going to be on a Friday this semester. We are preparing now and are really excited about what God is going to do with this Anthem. 

For those of you who went to Anthem in Iowa City this past Friday I hope you had as great a time of worship as I had. What a great night! It was really exciting to see the new Anthem Iowa City band play the great new songs they wrote. I'm excited to hear more of their new songs. 

Anthem IC stoked the fire for me and got me all the more excited for Anthem here in Ames. I believe God wants to use this "event" to change the lives and hearts of everyone who comes and to challenge us to stop being disengaged and complacent but instead to turn our eyes and minds towards Christ.
